    • I have written direct response letters. See my writing samples and have worked with public relations in the environmental industry as a consultant.
  • What kind of assignments do you handle?
    • Many companies in the pet industry use websites, email marketing, and social media – yes I have experience with these. Some may also use case studies or white papers, which allow me to utilize my technical writing background.
  • What does it cost to hire you for a project?
    • I could provide you with a listing of typical prices, but I have found that based on the client needs, these can vary widely. Once you fill out a discovery questionnaire and we discuss your project in detail, I will send you a proposal.
  • How long will it take you to write my copy?
    • This will depend on the type of project and the amount of research required. We will discuss deadlines in the proposal for the first draft.  Typically I can begin work on the project within a week or two after receiving a signed contract and a 50% deposit.
      • Initially I will research your website and any other materials you send me. Then I will research the market, including your competitors.  In some cases, I may ask for more information from your customer service team, past customers, and different department heads.  As needed, I will reach out to you for additional details, product samples, and other resources.
      • You can be confident that I’ll quickly and effectively understand your product, your voice, and your customer’s core emotional purchase drivers.
    • Typically, you’ll receive the first draft in 10 – 14 business days, depending on the project size and scope. White papers and case studies may take a bit longer.
  • What happens if we want you to revise the copy?
    • The first submittal is a draft, for your review. At this stage I want to ensure I have the tone, message, and the offer right.  Fine-tuning will occur during the second draft, and third, if needed.
  • How do we start?
    • Please email me your contact information and I will forward you my information packet with the discovery questionnaire.
